Anne Marie McPherson, of Boca Raton, Fla., died Aug. 20, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Chris McPherson. Daughter of Margaret Polt, Honesdale, and William Goerlitz, Pleasant Mount. Anne Marie was a graduate of Western Wayne High School and received her degree in business administration from Elmira College. She began her career as a bank teller in Towanda and went on to become a branch manager. She relocated to Columbia, Md., where she managed several banks. She was a caring mother and an outgoing and loving person with a gift for making people laugh. Her passion in life was collecting antiques, and she had a flair for interior decorating with her treasures. She also loved to travel and made trips to Spain, Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean. Also surviving are two sons, Bryan and Christopher Wojcak; two sisters, Susan Conte and Samantha O'Heren; several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed an especially close relationship with her niece, Sara Goerlitz. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Goerlitz Jr. Donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Three-Day, Susan G.
