Edward C. "Butch" Zawislak Jr., 55, of Jim Thorpe, died at home on October 1,2013 following a sudden illness. Born in Honesdale, he was the son of Edward C. Zawislak Sr. and wife, Sue, Hamlin. A graduate of Western Wayne High School, Butch attended Marywood College for arts and communications, and owned and operated Color My World Signs in Hamlin for 25 years.  He was presently employed with Cima Network, Chalfont, as the senior project manager. Butch was incredibly talented in the field of design and manufacturing. His personal dedication to professional detail was truly his trademark. He also had a great passion for music and was a disc jockey for many years. Butch's greatest love and devotion in life was for his son, Chaz. They loved going to the movies, working on computers, designing and building things, or just hanging out laughing and enjoying quality time together. His biggerthanlife personality and unbeatable sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Butch. He is survived by his wife and son, Carol and Chaz Zawislak, Waymart; two sisters, Lori Godino, Scranton; and Kim Bell, Hollisterville; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and an abundance of very dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Malti Zawislak; and a brother, Joel David Zawislak. Following cremation, family gathered for a private celebration of his life.
